Based in Austin, The McKinleys have spent over a decade shaping a sound we call Cosmic Americana — a hand‑picked blend of bluegrass, country, spirited fiddle tunes, and acoustic interpretations of artists from the Grateful Dead, The Byrds, and great songwriters like Gram Parsons, John Prine, and Townes Van Zandt.

 

We make music that invites people to linger — kids dancing to a fiddle tune, neighbors swapping stories, and friends settling into the evening. Our shows are interactive and responsive; we take requests, read the room, and enjoy connecting with the people we’re playing for.
